Up for auction is the jacket Lou Holtz was wearing when Notre Dame won the 1989 Fiesta Bowl and National Championship. On January 2, 1989 Notre Dame would go on to beat West Virginia 34-21 in the Sunkist Fiesta Bowl in Tempe, Arizona. This win gave Notre Dame its first National Championship since 1977. This jacket shows light but noticeble usage. There are several images on Getty showing Lou Holtz being carried off the field after winning the National Championship while wearing this jacket. This jacket was made by Champion and is Medium in size. This jacket will come with a LOA directly from Lou Holtz stating this came from his personal collection. I have owned this jacket for several years and it has been in my personal collection. This is a museum quality piece that truly is a piece of Notre Dame history.
