Up for auction is a single horseshoe worn at Darby Dan Farm by the legendary Preakness winning racehorse Shackleford. This shoe shows fantastic usage. This shoe is dated 12/16 which would indicate that was when it was removed. Front running Shackleford won the 2011 Preakness and was one of the most popular horses of his time. This lot is for the one horseshoe pictured. This shoe came from a large collection of horseshoes that were part of the personal collection of Tracie Willis who was the controller at Darby Dan.
