$10 1915 Kelvin-Sultana Ore Production Note!
Up for auction is a $10 1915 Kelvin-Sultana Ore Production Note. These notes were issued in 1915 by the Kelvin-Sultana Copper Company. This note is dated February 25, 1915. The company owned a number of claims in Mexico although the primary property was located in Arizona. The composition of the raw ore was 6% copper, 15% iron and 4 ounces silver per ton. Unfortunately the company's projections were never met rendering these 7% ore production notes valueless. The additional option of converting them in to stock at 20¢ a share was equally problematic. Regardless of how the issuance all played out, these are great obsolete notes from a time and era well past. This note also has a $.02 stamp attached on it as well. This bill is a must have for any collector of Obsolete Currency!
